11 January 2024
EU Data Act enters into force.
12 September 2025
Main obligations start to apply. Users gain enforceable rights to access and share data from connected products.
From 12 September 2026
New connected products placed on the market must be designed to provide user data access by default.
The manufacturers who prepare now will be the ones turning these obligations into new service revenue and stronger customer relationships.
