We work with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and industrial IoT manufacturers who need to comply with the EU Data Act without rebuilding their own data-sharing platform.
EU Data Act for manufacturers
Challenges
Identifying which data from your machines is in scope under the EU Data Act
Exposing data to customers and partners without revealing sensitive know-how
Managing user consent, access rights and data-sharing agreements across markets
Standing up secure APIs and portals for data access without building a new platform team
Keeping a full audit trail so you can demonstrate compliance to regulators and large customers
Solution
Fiskil provides a turnkey data-sharing gateway that sits between your connected products and the outside world. We give your customers and approved partners controlled access to machine data, while you stay in full control of what is shared, when, and under which conditions – all without exposing your core systems or intellectual property.
Managed infrastructure
Fiskil sits between your connected products and the outside world, acting as your data-sharing gateway. We give your customers and approved partners controlled access to machine data, while you stay in full control of what is shared and under which conditions.
Implement quickly & easily
Connect one product line in weeks, not years. Clear guidelines and reference architectures for your engineering teams.
Continuous compliance
We track EU Data Act and related regulatory updates and bake them into the platform, so your data-sharing layer stays aligned even as rules evolve.
Robust enterprise support
Enterprise-grade security, monitoring and support to keep your data flows reliable and your stakeholders confident.
Features
Ideal for OEMs of industrial machinery, vehicles and other IoT-connected equipment that need a controlled way to share machine data.
Data inventory for machine data
Discover and catalogue the data generated by your connected products, and mark what is in scope under the EU Data Act.
Customer & partner access control
Define who can access which data streams – customers, service partners, third-party apps – with fine-grained roles and permissions.
Consent & contract workflows
Capture user consent, apply contractual terms and manage approvals in one place before any data is shared.
Audit logs & reporting
Automatic logging of every access request and data delivery, with exportable reports for internal audits and regulator queries.
APIs and export formats
Standards-aligned APIs and export formats so customers and partners can reliably consume your data in their own systems.
Security & privacy built-in
Encryption in transit and at rest, strict authentication and configurable data minimisation so you can share safely.
11 January 2024
EU Data Act enters into force.
12 September 2025
Main obligations start to apply. Users gain enforceable rights to access and share data from connected products.
From 12 September 2026
New connected products placed on the market must be designed to provide user data access by default.
The manufacturers who prepare now will be the ones turning these obligations into new service revenue and stronger customer relationships.
We support manufacturers across the EU, including early adopters in Germany, the Netherlands and other key industrial markets.
The EU Data Act gives users of connected products new rights to access and share the data their machines generate. For OEMs and equipment manufacturers, this means you must provide a secure and fair way for customers and approved third parties to obtain that data, while still protecting your intellectual property and sensitive information. Fiskil provides the managed data-sharing gateway so you don't have to build this infrastructure yourself.
In general, the EU Data Act applies to data generated by the normal use of connected products and related services – for example telemetry, sensor readings, usage statistics and diagnostic information. It does not require you to disclose your own confidential know-how or derived analytics, but you do need a clear way to separate shareable data from sensitive data. Our platform helps you inventory your machine data, mark what is in scope and safely expose only what needs to be shared.
