A new way to securely access user energy data

AGL turned to Fiskil's Energy API when they needed to deliver a new, innovative solution to market quickly. AGL's  Electrify Now tool makes it easy to get a personalised estimate of energy bill and carbon savings when customers take steps to electrify their homes. Importantly, you don't have to be an AGL customer to use it, though eligibility criteria applies.

With tight timelines AGL needed to develop a novel solution that could in minutes capture historical customer data to give them a personalised estimate of energy bill and carbon savings for home electrification. They chose Fiskil's Energy API as it provides a new user experience method for capturing customer data, opposed to bill uploads that lack historical data and don't provide the complete picture such as: interval reads-and tariff types..

The use of real-time data through Fiskil's APIs resulted in more accurate estimates. "The accuracy of estimates improves when using real data as opposed to forms from a single bill" noted AGL.

This collaboration not only met the immediate project goals but set the stage for ongoing enhancements and optimisations.
